Terms and Conditions
- To reserve your preferred date. A minimum deposit of 20% or £100 (whichever is greater) is required to secure your preferred date, subject to availability.
- If date of move is changed we will credit half of your original deposit to your new date. But retain the other half to cover loss of work on that date.
- If you cancel your move with us the deposit will be retained in full to cover our loss of earnings.
- Balances of your quotation amount less the deposits paid are due 24hrs before the morning of your move date.
- Items not included for in our original quotation or addition items may be charged over and above our quotation or additionally.
- To dismantle & reassemble standard items such as beds we charge £25 each, for larger or more complex items £35 each .
- Waiting time will be charged at £25 per hour per porter. Usually after 2pm on move dates, or agreed times.
- Screens are no longer covered by Goods in transit insurance, or move insurance by Aviva, and should be covered on your home / house insurance.
- Our Standard Good in transit insurance is £10,000.00 per vehicle
- Any breakages or damage should be reported with in 24hrs of your move.
- Your inventory single trip insurance form must be completed, signed, dated and emailed to us before your move date to validate insurance with the insurance company Aviva.
- We move all furniture and items with care, and there are very seldom any issue, however we can not be held responsible for any damage , scratches or blemishes on old previously moved items by others, or items of furniture that are in already poor condition.
- We are very experienced at dismantling and reassembling furniture, but flat pack laminated chipboard items, do not lend well to being taken apart and put back together, especially when previously assembled poorly, items such as the backs of wardrobes are very hard to remove and put back together with out any damage, we will do our very best, but we accept no responsibility for the condition of “flat packed furniture “.
- When moving furniture, particularly assembled flat pack laminated chipboard, but indeed, any items, when it is dragged or moved incorrectly,and not lifted and protected,or has become wet, stored in high humidity and moisture, the laminate or edges of the surface can be damaged, weak or blown,and when we go to move said items, the previous damaged caused,that we have not caused will become apparent, we do not accept liability for this.
- For clarity, Only items packed and wrapped and loaded by us are fully covered for Aviva GIT insurance, and liability is limited to ,Fire and a theft, Traffic Collision or vehicle accident. This is an industry wide condition by the insurance companies.
GIT1: Household Removals Condition
The exclusion of Damage to Goods whilst the subject of a household, office, factory or other removals is hereby deleted.
It is a condition precedent to liability that a valued inventory is obtained from Your customer prior to each removal commencing.
In respect of owner packed goods We shall only be liable from losses arising from fire and/or theft and/or collision/overturning of the carrying Conveyance.
In the event of losses for damage to antique items and/or works of art liability is restricted to the reasonable cost of repairs. In no case shall liability for such repairs exceed the sum insured in respect of the damaged article. Excluding the risk of depreciation absolutely.
If Goods consist of a pair or one of a number of individual units or is part of a set or pair, We shall only pay for that piece or part damaged and shall not pay and shall not be liable for any diminution in value of the whole set or part by virtue of loss of or damage to part of the Goods or set or pair.
